About
Hi! I am Melissa
Welcome to my adventure travel
I grew up with the scent of salt air and the sound of waves crashing on the shore in beautiful Santa Barbara. From a young age, I was captivated by the world beyond my California home, devouring travel magazines and dreaming of faraway places.
Now, those dreams are a reality. I’ve traded in the California sun for snow-capped mountains, bustling city streets, and the tranquility of hidden beaches. I believe travel is about more than just ticking off destinations; it’s about connecting with cultures, learning from new experiences, and discovering the world’s hidden gems.
This blog is my way of sharing those experiences with you, offering travel tips, inspiring stories, and a glimpse into the beauty that awaits around every corner.
As a huge fan of the University of California, Santa Barbara, I’ve always admired the school’s commitment to global engagement and creative expression. Through a dear friend who was involved in the U-See Project during her time at UCSB, I discovered a collection of remarkable blog posts written by students exploring geographical locations along California’s central coast.
Although the project has concluded, I was deeply moved by the students’ passion and the insightful perspectives they shared. I knew I wanted to find a way to keep their stories alive and accessible to a wider audience. That’s why I’m thrilled to be hosting a selection of these incredible articles right here on my blog.
These pieces offer a unique window into the world through the eyes of young, curious minds, and I believe they deserve to be celebrated and shared.
Join me on this journey of exploration, and let’s wander together!
